Centro Hispano’s new two-story headquarters spans approximately 25,000 square feet and includes an underground parking garage. Centro serves as a vital resource to the growing Latinx community in the area.
Hooper’s HVAC team designed and constructed an extensive geothermal heating and cooling system. The bore field consists of 20 wells located beneath the parking lot, each running 500 feet deep with a 1-1/2” diameter U-shaped pipe. A total of 26 heat pumps are located throughout the building serving individual spaces. To further improve the efficiency of these units, two Energy Recovery Ventilators (ERVs) were installed.
Our Plumbing team also designed and installed a rainwater reclaim system. Rainwater is collected from the roof and stored in a 6,000-gallon tank located on the south side of the building’s exterior. This water is sustainably used for flushing toilets and for irrigation outside.
Hooper’s Fire Protection team installed a wet piping sprinkler system that covers the entire facility.
