Arrowhead Pharmaceuticals’ new campus in Verona, Wisconsin, includes a 160,000-square-foot drug manufacturing facility and a 142,000-square-foot lab and office building on a 13-acre site. Supporting the development of gene-targeting medicines, the facility features a striking round atrium with a three-story cascading staircase, an undulating façade, and floor-to-ceiling windows, and has achieved LEED Silver Certification for sustainability.

Hooper’s Mechanical Division delivered mechanical systems for both buildings, drawing on extensive experience in lab, biotech, and pharmaceutical projects. Hooper’s HVAC team installed a full lab-grade air system with 100% outside air units and over 450,000 pounds of ductwork. The plumbing team designed custom chemical handling solutions, including an explosion-proof solvent transfer system and a 25,000-gallon dual-wall holding tank. Fire protection crews installed over 1,900 sprinklers and advanced safety systems, including eight clean agent suppression systems. The process piping team contributed over 59,000 feet of high-grade piping and nearly 8,000 valves and instruments, all delivered under tight deadlines and within budget.
