Safety Inspection System

The Safety Inspections System is a critical component of our safe jobsite initiative. The Safety Inspections System provides our Safety Department with a database driven tool to conduct thorough jobsite safety inspections. The inspections are uniform from inspector to inspector, information is extensively categorized, and that information is gathered in a consistent fashion. This tool documents jobsite safety deficiencies and the safety inspector notes corrective measures to be taken to resolve any issues. The system also incorporates a framework for following up on these actionable items. Most importantly, the system calculates a score for the inspection based on the deficiencies noted in the inspection, which is used to identify areas in need of improvement. This information is then reviewed with the foreman responsible for the jobsite, Hooper project and executive management, and Hooper's customer. The system vastly improves the quantitative data available for management to make informed strategic decisions regarding the deployment of safety resources, the identification of areas that need reinforcement, and the overall safety leadership of front line supervisors

The information gathered by these systems is aggregated, then analyzed by Hooper management to identify areas of opportunity where changes may be made to improve jobsite safety, including: specific areas of training that may be adjusted to improve their effectiveness, in-place systems and/or processes that may be improved or streamlined, and employees who may require additional training or 'refresher' courses.
