Project Management

An effective project management system, supported by the necessary tools and procedures, is critical to the success of all projects. Project controls must provide the tools and procedures to assess and manage the project risk, as well as serve as the basis of communications and reporting, including: scheduling, cash flow, Estimate At Completion (EAC) reporting, earned value, Key Performance Indicators (KPI's), invoicing, and more.

Hooper Corporation has developed robust, scalable, and flexible tools to meet the needs of even the most complex projects. Our system of project controls is successfully utilized to manage individual projects as well as programs and Alliance relationships. In addition, we will work with our customers to create any specific processes and reporting packages required to effectively and efficiently meet special requirements of our customers or their projects.

The reporting and information gathered from this system supports the project communications between our staff and the project team. The team can consist of any number of interested parties, including the owner, contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, and any other project stakeholder.

All project documents flow through the assigned project manager who is the central point of contact and control. Depending upon project size and scope, the project manager can choose to utilize Oracle Primavera Contract Manager to manage contact documents and either Oracle Primavera P6 or Microsoft© Project for project scheduling and resource planning. Primavera Contract Manager is designed to track all aspects of contract documents, including transmittals, submittals, correspondence, contract documents, subcontracts, purchase orders, and change orders, providing a complete history of project documents as well as up-to-date reports and useful dashboards. Primavera P6 is fully integrated with both Primavera Contract Manager and COINS (Construction Industry Software) Ti core financials and job costing systems to provide dynamic project scheduling. The schedule for each project is based on the WBS (Work Breakdown Structure) which integrates the schedule with the budget, Risk Matrix, and project reporting. The level of detail included in the schedule for a specific project will be driven by the current project life cycle, and the duration and complexity of the project, as well as the owner's requirements. Progress for hours incurred and units installed is updated weekly.

We believe the primary goal of project management is to put in place the systems and processes necessary to enable project completion within the approved budget and schedule. Managing the risk of the project and supporting the communications and reporting needs of the project are the most critical components of these systems and processes. Hooper Corporation is prepared to bring these tools to your project to meet and exceed your expectations.
