With storms and historic flooding in the roughly 1700 city blocks in the Cedar Rapids area, 32,000 Alliant Energy customers were without power as the Cedar River crested over 32 feet. Alliant Energy’s emergency operations center was evacuated. A temporary substation was constructed to provide power to customers. |
