Hurricane Gustav Owner: Entergy Services, Inc. Completed: 2008 Location: Louisiana Description: Second largest number of outages in company history, behind Hurricane Katrina. Hurricane knocked out nearly 40 percent of Entergy’s transmission lines, damaged 27 percent of substations, damaged or destroyed more than 8,200 poles, 12,500 spans of wire, and 1,900 transformers. Fastest rate of restoration in Entergy’s company history.
