Hooper Corporation's Fleet Operations Center

Hooper Corporation mobile mechanic at work

At Hooper Corporation, we realize a quality job depends upon a reliable, safe fleet of equipment. Hooper’s diverse field of construction services requires a variety of trucks, trailers, cranes, and specialized off-road equipment to get things done. From aerial bucket trucks to heavy drilling equipment, Hooper crews always have the right machine for the job. Our newly completed Fleet Operations Center in Madison, WI spans 37,000 square feet and features:

  • Four drive-thru lift bays with heavy truck capabilities
  • Two additional drive-thru heavy equipment bays
  • A drive-in wash bay
  • Two 10-ton overhead cranes
  • Bulk oil and lubricant dispensary
  • Warehouse storage for specialized tools and field equipment

In addition to our new facility, Hooper staffs mobile mechanics with fully equipped field service trucks to handle repairs onsite and minimize crew down time. All equipment is thoroughly inspected and maintained in accordance with DOT and OSHA regulations.

We have recently equipped our over the road equipment with telematic asset management devices to improve the efficiency and accountability of our crews and mechanics. Field crews are able to log equipment defects from wireless devices installed in truck cabs, creating real time reporting, and expediting repairs. Unit locations and usage are tracked within our system allowing Hooper to stay on top of service intervals, minimize fuel inefficiencies, and avoid time wasted during job mobilization.

With new federal regulatory mandates restricting idle time and emission standards, today’s commercial fleets are being thrust into a new era of environmental awareness. Consequently, vehicle systems are becoming more complex and technical to repair. Hooper’s Fleet Operations Department works closely with vehicle manufacturers to become familiar with new technology and its impact on our industries.

Large or small, over the road or in the field, in the air or below the ground, Hooper Corporation's equipment fleet stands ready to serve the needs of our crews and customers.
